Mexico is approximately 3.5 times the population of Canada at 122 million and has the highest Spanish speaking population in the world. Nearly 80% of the population live in urban areas and since NAFTA (1994) Canada and Mexico are each other’s third largest trading partner.
The majority of the product we transport between Ontario and Texas either originate or end up in Mexico. Our key facilities in Toronto, Ontario and El Paso, Texas act as the nerve centres for daily LTL and Truckload schedules.
Foreign companies are re-shoring their manufacturing operations from China to Mexico and many Canadian firms now have operations there. The two-way trade between Canada and Mexico was 32 billion dollars in 2013 and the key industries there are:
